3 Killer Tips to help your Small Business with Social Media

Okay, it's 2015: do you know where your social media is? Since we can all agree (at least I hope so) that social media for small businesses is not only where the people are, it has become a viable source of traffic, engagement and marketing.

The key here is to get moving, and don't dread the unknown. This medium changes often, and you need a certain ability to roll with that, understanding that most of the time the changes only help you. (Remember, embrace change!) Let's look at a few ways we can help you with that.

3 Social Media Tips for Small Businesses

Decide on your social strategy – You need to have a clear idea what you hope to accomplish with social media before expecting it to generate huge following and massive results for you. Decide what your goals are and how you want to brand yourself, handle customers, advertise, and engage. Check out what each platform is capable of doing for your business. Not all are created equal.

Don't try to use all of them – There are a lot of social platforms you can register for, however, not all may be applicable enough to your business to justify the time and expense involved. For instance, if you are a Mercedes auto body shop, SnapChat (frequented by teens) is probably not your best use of resources.

Consistency is key – One of the primary reasons social media works well for businesses is that they commit to engaging in it. Posting once in a blue moon will draw a big yawn from social media, and no one will care or come around. Once you commit, post frequently with awesome value and honest intent.

Doing these 3 things will lay the groundwork for a solid social media initiative for your small business. Then it's up to you to motivate and engage your audience.

If you need help generating leads, please call us. We have an excellent lead generation program where we pay for all your advertising expenses and take all the risk for you. You only pay when you get results. This is a massive undertaking and understandably we're limited in how many companies we can help at any one time. If you're interested and find the program paused or not available, just leave your details and we'll let you know when it re-opens.

Good read mate. The most common social media today are Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. But not all are applicable to any businesses. Like IG, if you are not sharing any pictures and videos, more on B2B, read the 2nd social media tips. DO NO TRY to use them for marketing/promoting business. On my sample, better used LinkedIn as your social media platform. Promoting small businesses through social media, is the cheapest way to build your brand name and be visible on the net. Thanks mate for this quick killer tips with social media.
